SHARING IS CARING I am so thankful. Thankful for my life and my health. Thankful for my family and friends that make life worth living. Last night before my set at The Palms in Las Vegas I took a minute to think about my 30th birthday. But when I try to think about what I’ve accomplished, what I have yet to accomplish, I think mostly about the people that have been around for the ride. I think about the people that paved a path for me to flourish in. I have to say that I have a lot of awesome people in my life. I have thought to myself, what is my purpose? I have come to realize my passion is to make people happy. I genuinely love to make people smile. Perhaps its the DJ in me that loves to see a crowd enjoy a great record that has lead me down this road. I love to open doors for people, smile at them, let them know they have a reason to be happy. Today on my 30th birthday I have so many reasons to be happy. I have had some of the most amazing moments along with the worst moments in my life in the last few years. The day after I attended The Grammys with Kanye West my grandfather passed away and my uncle passed days later. It was quite a roller coaster of emotions to have one of the biggest moments of my life one night only to wake up to the call of my sick grandfather. I’ve accepted those horrible times as a wake up call. A moment of clarity. No matter how successful I become, I will always put my family first. I will always live. I refuse to work my life away. I refuse to settle for less than amazing. I refuse to fail to inspire others the same way others have inspired me. I could go on and on but to be honest it is almost 6:15am, we just finished this fun video of me bringing in my birthday by myself in the hot tub which was 100% real and I will be back up by 10am to head to my parents to enjoy my day with my entire family. I will leave you with this. I look forward to my day every morning when I wake up. I expect the worst and hope for the best. I don’t worry about what I cannot control. I work hard and hope that people can see my motives and good intentions behind my sarcasm, dry humor, and bad jokes. After all that, I say thanks. I am thankful, I am grateful. Happy 30th Bday Me! Thank you Mom and Dad for making me, you guys did a pretty good job although I wouldn’t have minded a lil’ bit more of a tan… But I can work with this Email To A Friend.
